Davonte West is an American former professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for several teams from 2004-2012. He was born on July 23, 1983, in Washington, D.C., and attended high school in Greenbelt, Maryland.

West played college basketball at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, where he was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Year in 2004. He was selected by the Boston Celtics in the first round of the 2004 NBA draft, and he played for the Celtics, Seattle SuperSonics, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Dallas Mavericks during his professional career.

West also played overseas in China and Venezuela and in the NBA G League before announcing his retirement from professional basketball in 2015.
